Mel is quite simply an incredible woman. It was while working with with luxury brand Chanel that Mel’s dream to create her own collection of antioxidant rich, cruelty free lipsticks began to come to life – and today, I’m thrilled to celebrate the official launch of her business!

Eros Omorphos (Greek for beauty and love) lipsticks are formulated in a way that embraces colour gloriously, while having a perfectly balanced matte, gloss or shine finish. And every time I look at the collection of Eros Omorphos shades, I think about how each colour is equally perfectly designed to complement the beauty of so many other incredible women, who will no doubt become loyal followers of Mel’s brand.

Mel and I were chatting this week about the launch of her business, and then she said this to me.

“You have been an incredible support and have completely captured my vision from the very beginning xxx”

These are the words I live to hear through the work I do. Helping to bring someones dream to life, and to be able to support them along the way is one of the greatest gifts I have ever been given, and I am elated to be watching another one of my brands fly today!

What do you wake up thinking about each morning, and go to sleep thinking about every night?

Each morning I wake up and think: for as long as I have left to live, I want to make each day, including today, as positive and enjoyable as I can, and live with an abundance of love for my son, partner, family and business.

What three words would you use to sum up the impact your brand has on the world?

Love, beauty and elegance.

What daily rituals do you have that are non-negotiable, to help you live the happiest and healthiest version of your life?

Gym / training up to 5 times a week in the morning, spending time with my family and meditation, which I find helps to clear my mind prior to an evening of rest.

What does a day in the life you’ve created look like?

I rise between 4-5am, drink coffee, answer emails and go to the gym. When I get home, I prepare my son for school before touching base with my partner, and then I tend to my business and the daily tasks I will encounter. At the end of the day, we eat dinner together as a family (phone free) – talk, laugh, listen to music and dance! I also make a mental note to touch base with my support network to help cultivate positive encouragement and alignment. It can be as simple as a cheeky humoured text or arranging a coffee catch up!

Can you share your fave place to eat, or a dish you love to make?

That’s a hard one, I have many favourite places to eat, I can’t narrow it down to one specifically, but I absolutely love Japanese cuisine!

What advice would you give other people wanting to start their own business, now that you have successfully launched yours?

Once the fire has ignited in your belly; go with it, plan it, role it out and don’t let your passion burn out. When you love what you do, 4am conference calls are effortless and enjoyable! And of course, don’t lose sight of your vision.

What exciting goals do you have for where you want to take your business next?

I have plans to move in to the international market at some point, however in saying that, I believe in taking one step at a time. I have a vision for my brand to have strong presence in the beauty industry in many countries abroad.
